Our Community was founded on All Saints Day, 2001, by a group of former Roman Catholic clergy and laity desiring to continue their worship and clerical ministries outside the Canon Law restraints of the Roman Catholic Church. Over the years since our founding several congregations have formed; deacons and priests have been prepared in our seminary program taught by former Roman Catholic priests and degreed laypersons; and several priests have been consecrated bishops within our several Lines of Apostolic Tradition (See The Constitution of the Community, “Lines of Apostolic Succession.”) Several of our clergy and lay membership continue their membership in heaven and pray for the rest of us as we complete our journey. Now, expanding on past history, our ECC Community is responding to the many changes in the meaning of church and ministry in our rapidly changing world.
