Within our Community you will find opportunities to live out your calling as a lay person, or as a professed man or woman, or as a cleric man or women such as a deacon, priest or bishop ordained in solid lines of Apostolic Succession. The ECC+USA is an independent Catholic Community that flows from Apostolic Tradition. We value and celebrate the seven Catholic sacraments and the Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist (Mass). We honor Mary and the saints and we believe in accordance with the teachings of the Apostles and Early Church. And, within this Community, new monastic communities and small Christian communities can form, under episcopal supervision and accountability. Our Community invites sincere “seekers” to contact us for help in discerning God’s call in your life. You are most welcome to also consider participation in our Community of faith, perhaps even leading to Religious Profession and/or Ordained Ministry. How can we help you find a spiritual home with us as we journey together building up the Kingdom of God among us, where we all have something to share and learn? Is there a place for you in this picture of our church community? Our Community is open to people of all faith traditions who commit to Christ’s imperative to “love God with your whole self and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Our current membership serves God as single persons, married persons, parents, teachers, members of our congregations, counselors, hospital and police chaplains, members of monastic orders, and ordained clerics (deacons, priests, bishops). The ECC+USA meets in Synod/Retreat each year, usually in October, to learn, pray, and socialize, to grow in spirituality and supportive friendship. Our Community offers each member the support of solidarity. As a fellowship of men and women, lay and cleric, married and not, we stand ready to assist each other in finding and living the apostolic ministry to which each of us has been called. We provide encouragement to each other “all along the way.” Are you called to pastor a small faith community, to serve as a chaplain, to counsel, to teach, preach, care, and serve? Your unique call will be respected and supported by this Community in every way we are able.
